To Rome - part 1

Why do so many of us keep thinking about the Roman Empire? Maybe we’re not so different from the Apostle Paul. In this Father’s Day message from our You’ve Got Mail series, we begin exploring Paul’s monumental letter to the heart of the Empire—Rome. Before he ever set foot in the city, Paul wrote to its church to explain the rescue mission of King Jesus. In Romans 1–8, we see Paul outline two essential truths: 1 Humanity is broken and in desperate need of rescue. 2 God has made that rescue possible—through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. This message reminds us that rescue requires remembering: who we are, who God is, what He’s done through Jesus, and how His Spirit empowers us to live new lives.
