Who is Jesus, really? Before Jesus begins His public ministry, the Gospel of Luke pauses to answer that question clearly. In Luke 3.21-38, Jesus is baptized, the heavens open, the Holy Spirit descends, and the voice of God declares: “You are my beloved Son.” Immediately afterward, Luke traces Jesus’ genealogy all the way back to Adam. Both moments point to the same truth: Jesus is the Son of God.
